Well there it is the big 7 that gave my life value and an anchor at the ripe age of 12. I have Scouts to thank for that.

  1. I was encouraged to participate: Involve youth in activities to build confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills.
  2. Skill development: Teach important life skills through camping, hiking, first aid, and knot tying.
  3. Promote responsibility: Encourage accountability to build self-worth and success in life.
  4. Foster mentorship: Develop leadership and mentorship skills to build a sense of purpose.
  5. Civic engagement: Promote community service and volunteering to build citizenship.
  6. Goal setting: Helping youth achieve their full potential.
  7. Safe environment: Create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for youth to learn and grow.

For the past 20 years I have been paying forward. Working with youth organisations such as Scouts and making a big difference has and is incredibly rewarding. Let me know if you have a similar story.
